PUKE Apparel Transparency Update

We Were Transparent, and We Still Got Pulled Up. What Else Do We Need To Do?

There are moments in business where you just sit there and think, “Seriously?”

This was one of them.

PUKE Apparel has never been trying to hide where it came from. The brand has always been connected to the wider Out There Oz world — the cars, the chaos, the humour, the events, the content, the shed ideas and the community around it.

That was never meant to be a secret.

But somehow, we still got pulled up.

And the first thought was pretty simple:

What else do we need to do?

We Thought We Were Being Clear

From our side, it made sense.

PUKE Apparel came out of the Out There Oz world. It grew from car culture, burnout attitude, garage humour, everyday madness and the idea that chaos could become something people wear.

The shirts, the hoodies, the designs and the jokes all came from that same world.

So to us, the connection was obvious.

But sometimes what is obvious to the people building something is not obvious enough to everyone else.

That was the lesson.

So We Made It Clearer

Here it is plainly.

PUKE Apparel is a registered business name operated by OUT THERE OZ PTY LTD.

PUKE Apparel is the apparel, merch and chaos side of the wider Out There Oz ecosystem. Out There Oz is connected to the cars, events, media, culture and community that helped shape the brand.

PUKE Apparel is where that chaos becomes funny graphic tees, hoodies, accessories and car-culture inspired apparel.

Same foundation.
Same people.
Same chaos.
Clearer wording.

That is what we have been updating across the website.

The Fun Part Is Easy. The Admin Is Not.

Everyone sees the fun part.

The designs.
The cars.
The slogans.
The product drops.
The funny shirts.
The hoodies.
The chaos.

What people do not always see is the stuff behind it.

Policy pages.
Business details.
Contact information.
Shipping wording.
Returns wording.
Privacy pages.
Terms of service.
Product descriptions.
Payment wording.
Customer trust signals.
SEO.
Website checks.
More checks after the checks.

It is not glamorous.

But it matters.

If someone buys from PUKE Apparel, they should know there is a real Australian business behind the brand.

Not a mystery shop.
Not a faceless checkout.
Not a brand trying to hide behind vague wording.

A real business, building something properly, even if the brand itself is loud, messy and a little unhinged on purpose.

Getting Pulled Up Was Frustrating

We are not going to pretend it was fun.

It was frustrating.

When you believe you have been transparent and still get told things are not clear enough, it is easy to feel like you are going in circles.

But instead of cracking it and walking away, we went back through the site.

We checked the business information.
We updated policy pages.
We cleaned up wording.
We made the PUKE Apparel and Out There Oz connection clearer.
We reviewed contact details.
We checked returns, shipping, privacy and terms.
We looked at product wording.
We tightened how we explain car-culture inspired designs.

Was it annoying?

Absolutely.

Did it make the site better?

Yes.

Still Independent. Still Car Culture. Still PUKE.

PUKE Apparel is an independent car culture apparel brand.

Our designs are inspired by burnout pads, track days, shed nights, garage life, Aussie humour, family car events and everyday chaos.

Vehicle names, model references, burnout, track, pad and garage themes are used for enthusiast style only. PUKE Apparel is not affiliated with, licensed by, sponsored by or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer, car brand, motorsport organisation, club or rights holder.

That does not take away from the brand.

It just makes the line clear.

We are not trying to be official manufacturer merch.

We are PUKE Apparel.

This is our take on car culture, funny graphic tees, hoodies and chaos you can wear.

Maybe This Was Needed

As painful as it was, maybe getting pulled up was the thing that forced us to tighten the bolts.

The brand is growing.
The website is growing.
The product range is growing.
The audience is growing.

So the foundation needs to grow up too.

That does not mean losing the humour.
It does not mean becoming boring.
It does not mean PUKE Apparel suddenly turns into some polished corporate brand with no personality.

It just means the business side needs to be clearer.

The chaos can stay chaotic.

The trust needs to be solid.

We Are Still Building

PUKE Apparel is not pretending everything has been perfect.

We are learning, fixing, updating and improving as we go.

That is the honest version.

But we would rather be the brand that says, “Yep, we found the issue and fixed it,” than the brand that ignores it and hopes nobody notices.

So if you see cleaner policy pages, clearer contact details, better product wording or more direct business information across the site, that is why.

We were transparent.

We still got pulled up.

So we made it clearer.

And now we keep building.

The funny graphic tees are staying.
The hoodies are staying.
The car culture is staying.
The burnout attitude is staying.
The garage humour is staying.
The weird little PUKE world is definitely staying.

We are just making sure the business underneath it is easier to trust.

Because the chaos works better when people know who is behind it.

First the car, then the chaos, now the brand.
